LEGAL OPINION ON NECESSITY OF CONDUCTING AN ABOLITION OF ALIENS ILLEGALLY STAYING ON THE TERRITORY OF THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND

The Halina Nieć Legal Aid Centre would like to inform that drew up a legal opinion on necessity of conducting an abolition of aliens illegally staying on the territory of the Republic of Poland. Our initiative was backed by Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights and Rule of Law Institute. This opinion will be put forward to the Office for Foreigners and the Polish Ombudsman.

INFORMATION CAMPAIGN „WELCOME TO POLAND!”

On 1^st July 2010 the Halina Nieć Legal Aid Centre has started realization of second phase of information campaign “Welcome to Poland!” on the area of 4 voivodeships: małopolskie, podkarpackie, lubelskie and podlaskie. Additionally – through campaign on the Internet - some of its elements have all-Polish dimension. The aim of campaign is to inform third country citizens, who stay legally in Poland, about the possibility of benefiting from free of charge both information and legal assistance, as well as to trigger positive reactions among Polish society through association with Polish traditional hospitality for newcomers.
